This is basically random 30 second snippets of the tunes from my "Recent Highlights" smart playlist - (for the iTunes geeks: rated > ****, limited to 50 tracks by most recently added, sorted in order of addition.)
I like the idea of posting playlists this way: you get to hear the actual tracks, but you don't have to click on 50 different links to hear the whole thing and you can skip through to the next tune quickly. And... just maybe, I won't get sued by the RIAA. I'll just get bankrupted by Novus instead.
I imagine the whole process can be automated completely with a bit of work, but for now I'd be happy to just find a way to get iTunes to do a smooth fade in on the first snippet (I managed to get it to fade out the last one OK.) I probably could have tweaked the snippets a little, in some cases - in particular a couple of the Adriana Evans tunes - you don't really get the best of the tracks. But that's what I get for being lazy, and it mostly works out.
The full track listing is in the extended post. Lots of 4Hero, some Nu-soul, bit of broken, bit of brazilian. For what it's worth, my favourite tune right now is "Menino" by Patricia Marx & 4Hero - just after 16 minutes in.
